SYNOPSIS : La Tuque, automne 1926. Félix Leclerc, douze ans, accompagne son père Léo, son frère et son oncle dans leurs besognes quotidiennes. Chemin faisant, il fait la connaissance de Fidor, un garçon de son âge issu d’une famille très pauvre. Les deux gamins vont nouer de très puissants liens d’amitié, tout au long de l’année qui vient et qui sera, pour Félix, celle des premières et des dernières fois. Du premier amour impossible avec la jolie infirmière qui abrite son cheval dans l’écurie des Leclerc. Du premier voyage périlleux dans un coin reculé de la Mauricie, où Léo, coureur des bois dans l’âme, entend bientôt fonder un village. Du dernier été à La Tuque aussi, puisqu’en septembre prochain, ce premier de classe, promis à un brillant avenir, devra quitter ses parents qu’il adore pour entrer au collège à Ottawa.

La Tuque, Fall 1926, Félix Leclerc, 12 years old, accompanies his father Léo, his brother and his uncle on their daily work. Along the way, he meets Fidor, a boy his age from a very poor family. The two kids build a strong bond of friendship throughout the coming year, which is filled with a number of firsts and lasts for Felix.

The first impossible love with the pretty nurse who shelters his horse in the Leclerc stable. His first perilous trip to a remote corner of the Mauricie, where Léo, a coureur des bois in his soul, intends to found a village. It’s also Félix’s last summer in La Tuque, because next September, he’ll be leaving the parents he loves to go to school in Ottawa.
