WHAT IS GEOCACHING?

It is a leisure activity using Geopositioning through Satellite (GPS) technique to search or hide an object called “cache” in different places throughout the world. It is a treasure hunt of modern times, which combines passion for hiking, playing, and discovering new sites, all at the same time.

THE FRANCOKAMLOOPS CIRCUIT

12 caches are hidden in different places of the city and along Lac Le Jeune Road.  A cache is made of a waterproof container with the logbook of all the visits and one or more treasures.

There are traditions; caches (the geocacher has the GPS coordinates of the treasure) and multi caches (the geocacher needs to resolve a few enigmas before getting the GPS coordinates).
