The new podcast series, FrancoLoops, an original Association francophone de Kamloops production, launched in September.
Continuing on the themes from last year’s project, Une langue, des histoires, this new community project aims to understand the personal importance of francophone language and culture to each podcast guest, who will be members of the Kamloops francophone and francophile community. Bio of Our Host
Hello, my name is Jamie and it is with great pleasure that I present the FrancoLoops podcast series. Born and raised in Kamloops, I have spend the majority of my 30 years here in my hometown. I was a pioneer of francophone education here in Kamloops, all thanks to a decision made by my parents. I was one of the first 12 students when the Kamloops Francophone School (now École Collines d’Or) opened its doors in 2001. Then, I became the first high school graduate of the Conseil scolaire francophone (CSF) in Kamloops in 2011. I obtained my Bachelor of Journalism (Carleton) and Diploma in Marketing (TRU), so this project combines my knowledge in media arts and my interest for telling stories with my passion for our francophone community.
Thanks for listening!
