Synopsis: In an era of changing identities, Jean-Michel Bouchard, a 70-year-old bachelor, has lost all his bearings in this society. He lives in a retirement home in a heritage building, carefully run by Suzanne Francoeur. Their tranquillity is disrupted by the arrival of young activists demanding the destruction of a historical fresco. Overcome by an era dominated by political correctness, Jean-Michel rediscovers his faith in humanity with the birth of an unexpected love.

Synopsis: The life of a young Vietnamese woman, Tihn, after a dangerous sea crossing and a stay in a camp in Malaysia, is accepted with her family as refugees in Canada. They arrive in Granby where they begin their new life. But for Tinh, adapting has its share of difficulties. Already shy and reserved by nature, she has to learn a new language and integrate into her new environment. Haunted by the hardships of her journey, the young girl will have to dig deep within herself for the resilience she needs to survive and thrive.
